Peppa and her family are going camping.

Daddy Pig: I love camping. 我最喜欢宿营了。

All: Hurry! 好哎。

Daddy Pig: Peppa, George, this is the tent I had when I was a little boy! 佩奇，乔治，这个帐篷是我小时候用过的。[tent [tent] n. 帐篷]

Peppa: Daddy? How are you going to make that into a tent? 爸爸，你是怎么把这个搭成一顶帐篷的？

Daddy Pig: Dont worry, Peppa! Im an expert at camping! 不用担心，佩奇，我是搭帐篷的好手。

Mummy Pig put the tent on the poles, please. 猪妈妈，请把布幕铺到柱子上。[pole [poʊl] n. 柱子 杆子]

Daddy Pig: Oh! 哦。

Mummy Pig: Do these pegs do anything? 这些钉子干吗用的？

I forgot about the pegs! 我把这些钉子全给忘了。

Narrator: The pegs hold the tent up. 钉子把帐篷支起来了。[hold up 支撑，承受住; 保持不倒]

Daddy Pig: There! 好了。

Peppa: The tent is a bit little. 这顶帐篷有点小啊。

Daddy Pig: It was big enough for me when I was a boy. 我还是小孩子时是够用的。

But it does look a bit small now.. 现在这么多人用确实有点小。

Mummy Pig: Thats because youve grown a bit since you were a boy, Daddy Pig! 那是因为你从小男孩到现在长大太多了，猪爸爸。

Peppa: And your tummy has grown the most of all! 而且你的肚子也越长越大了。

Daddy Pig: Talking of tummies, we should cook supper! 说起肚子的话,该做晚餐啦！

Peppa: Yes! Yes! 是的，是的。

Daddy Pig: First, we have to collect sticks to make a fire. 首先我们得找些木柴来生火。[collect sticks收集木柴]

Peppa: Yipee! 好的。

Daddy Pig: Im going to make fire the old way, by simply rubbing these two sticks together! 我要用一个老方法来生火，就是通过不断摩擦这两根棍子。[rub [rʌb] v. 摩擦]

Narrator: Daddy Pig is rubbing the two sticks together to light the campfire. 爸爸不断摩擦这两根棍子来点燃篝火。

Peppa: Where is the fire, Daddy? 火在哪里呢？爸爸。

Nearly there. 就快有了。

All: Hurry! 好哎。

Daddy Pig: Easy as pie! 小菜一碟。

Mummy Pig: Now we can heat up the tomato soup. 现在我们就可以加热番茄汤了。[heat up（尤指将已经冷掉的熟食）加热;]

Daddy Pig: Ahhh! 啊。

Listen to the sounds of nature! 来听听大自然的声音。

Peppa: What is that sound? 这是什么声音啊？

Daddy Pig: That is the sound of crickets chirping. 这是蟋蟀发出的声音。

Peppa: Its Daddys tummy! 这是爸爸的肚子。

Mummy Pig: Goodnight, Daddy Pig! 晚安了猪爸爸。

Narrator: Mummy Pig, Peppa and George are sleeping in the tent. 猪妈妈，佩奇和乔治睡在帐篷里。

Daddy Pig is sleeping outside, under the stars. 爸爸在帐篷外的星空下睡着了。

Daddy Pig: Ahh! 啊。

I love camping! 我真喜欢宿营。

Sleeping in the open air with the stars above me! 睡在大自然中，星星就在你的眼前。

Maybe this wasnt such a good idea after all…brrr 可能这不是个好主意，都怪这天气。[after all 毕竟; 终究]

Narrator: It is morning. 早上了。

Peppa: Daddy! It was lovely and cozy in the tent! 爸爸，睡在帐篷里面真的很舒服。[cozy [ˈkoʊzi] adj. (温暖)舒适的]

Oh，wheres Daddy? 哦，爸爸在哪？

Narrator: Daddy Pig has gone! 猪爸爸不见了。

Mummy Pig: Poor Daddy Pig. He must have been cold and wet. 可怜的猪爸爸。他现在一定又冷又湿的。

And now where is he? 他去什么地方了？

Whats that sound? 这是什么声音？

Peppa: It sounds like snoring! 好像是打鼾的声音。[snore [ˈsnɔːr] v. 打鼾 打呼噜]

Daddy Pig! 爸爸你在这儿。

Daddy Pig: What? 怎么了？

Peppa: Daddy, youre safe! 爸爸 你没事吧。

Daddy Pig: Of course, Im safe! 我当然不会有事了。

Im an expert at camping! 我是宿营专家啊。

I slept in the car. 我睡在车里面了。

Peppa: Silly Daddy! 可怜的爸爸。

Peppa and her family are going camping. 佩奇一家正在去露营，go camping去露营。

露营的基本装备包括tent（帐篷），pack（户外背包），cook stove（野营炉）等等。Campsite（露营地）一般是在野外的树林里，或者山上，或者湖边等等。

Peppa和妈妈都在说爸爸的肚子好大，爸爸摸了摸肚子说Talking of tummies, we should cook supper。说到肚子，我们应该做晚饭了。

talking of tummies 说到肚子。talking of是说到什么，谈到什么的意思。

英语有句谚语，Talk of the devil! 说魔鬼，魔鬼就到。你看的童话故事里面是不是都是这样的呢，叫一句魔鬼，魔鬼就出现在你旁边了。

5. Here are the matches

爸爸说要给营火生火，妈妈拿着火柴说Here are the matches. 这里有火柴。Here are是这里有什么的意思。

下次爸爸肚子饿了，你就可以拿桌上的苹果给爸爸，说Here are the apples，这里有苹果。

6. Nearly there

爸爸在那里使劲的摩擦着两根树枝，希望能够生出火来，但是他脸憋得通红，却没有生出火。Peppa不禁问道Where is the fire, daddy?爸爸，火在哪里？爸爸喘着粗气说Nearly there. 快了。

Nearly there也是非常地道的英语口语，表示快了，接近了。

比如你让爸爸猜谜语，爸爸的答案已经接近正确答案了，你就可以说Nearly there. 妈妈问你作业做完了吗，你也可以说Nearly there. 快了。
